Privacy policy

No analytics, no cookies, no trackers. The only personal data this site ever receives is what you type into the contact form.

Who runs this site

The Corpus Index (thecorpusindex.com) is an independent publication measuring the source corpus AI assistants read about field service management software. It is operated as an independent activity, not by or for any vendor named in the index. For anything in this document, including a request about your data, write to hello@thecorpusindex.com and a person will answer. A postal address is provided on request.

The short version

  • No analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party trackers, no profiling.
  • No cookies are set by this site — see the cookie policy.
  • The only thing stored in your browser is your light/dark preference.
  • The only personal data we ever receive is what you type into the contact form.
  • We never sell, rent or share it, and there is no newsletter to be added to.

The contact form

The form collects three things: your work email, the vendor you are writing about, and an optional message. We use them for exactly one purpose: to reply to you, and to prepare the audit or correction you asked for.

Form delivery is handled by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which receives the submission and forwards it to our mailbox. Email is then handled by our mail forwarding provider and by Google (Gmail). These providers act as processors: they handle the message in order to deliver it, not to use it.

Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6): steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us. Retention: correspondence is kept while the conversation is open and for up to 24 months afterwards, then deleted. You are never added to a mailing list — there is no mailing list.

Server logs

The hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, time, page requested, user agent) for security and operation of the server. We do not use them to build profiles and we do not combine them with anything else. They are retained for a short period under the provider's own policy.

Information about vendors in the index

The index measures companies and their software, using publicly published web pages. That is business information, not personal data. Where an author's name appears on a source page, we link to the page rather than reproduce it. If you believe something published here is inaccurate, use the correction route in the terms: corrections are free and applied to the next edition.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing. Write to hello@thecorpusindex.com; we answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to your national supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Transfers and security

Some providers named above operate outside the EEA; they are used under the standard safeguards their own terms provide. The site is served over HTTPS only and collects no payment data. Our security practices, and how to report a vulnerability, are on the security page.

Children

This is a business-to-business publication. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be stated plainly rather than buried.
